Ask me questions. What ever topic, just nothing sexual please! Ask about anything: Games, TV, Music, Books, about myself, about Texas, about the US, about my stories, my art....anything. I'm going to be bored in a doctor's office tomorrow (Friday the 27 of April) and I will enjoy reading and replying to questions or anything funny you have to post.

I am so freaking glad I didn't have to go to a hospital and am just having a doctor's visit at 8:30 in the morning *Not a morning person* .   (It'd be great though if I had a regular doctor, but apparently my pediatrician has gone out of buisness). My parents have pretty much agreed that its an ulcer. Same symptoms as my dad (why must I be so much like him?!) and I've been taking *Omeprozole or however you spell it and its been working....except in the mornings when I wake up and feel like keeling over right out of bed. Sadly I can't take anything for the pain except Tylenol and it doesn't help all that much.  My mom says its because I got hit on both ends, because my brother had a terrible cold and I share a room with him. So natrually I caught what he had then my stupid stomach ulcer thingy happened. Excruciating headaches much?On the brightside I'm not speaking to Bob the porcelain throne anymore. For now.

What's really got me nervous is that I might have to have an endoscopy. My dad had one so I'm comforted by that...but still. I'll be put to sleep. Unconcious. While they stick a tube with a camera down my throat. *shiver*   And maybe some bloodwork on the day I go to the doctor's office. Bloodwork! That means needles! I hate needles.  At least the needles that are going to be stuck into me. I cried for hours after my shots when I was little bitty.

* says the girl who wants to be a nurse*

So that's the latest update. Will get back to you guys tomorow evening or on saturday.

Well, it stinks about the ulcer, but at least you guys gave medicine to share around for it. Unluck mixed with luck, what's next?

The cold won't help at all, but at least it isn't anything more severe. That would be bad.

And as for getting put to sleep, I kinda WANT to do it. Sounds fun! Not the tube down your throat but getting put to sleep!

I'm glad you're alright, albeit full of cold and ulcer-y things D: Don't worry about being put to sleep - it's super fun. When I was sedated, for a few seconds after they put the stuff in the IV I did panic a little - I was like OMG it's not working!! Then I started feeling really dizzy and everything went all surreal, and before you know it, boom I was asleep. And you don't even realise you're asleep until you wake up afterwards :P

And blood tests aren't too bad - I think shots are worse. Because they have to go into the muscle and stuff, whereas they only need to find a vein in your arm, and that's really easy. You'll probably be able to see the vein in your elbow that they use, that's how close to the surface it is :P

Good luck with the doctor's appointment, anyway! I'm sure you'll be fine :)

Coming from the person who has anxiety attacks in hospitals, going unconscious isn't that bad. When I had to go under, I didn't even notice it. The people in the room with me were aware of what could happen so they kept talking and kept me distracted. I'm pretty sure I passed out in the middle of a sentence. Also, for getting the blood drawn, I found it was easier if I just didn't look at it.

Anyway, questions:
1. What do you think of the newest chapter of "Year of"?
2. What kind of music do you love to listen to?
3. If you could slip into any fantasy world, without dying in the first few days, where would you go and why?
4. Do you have a backup plan if you can't be a nurse?
5. What's your favorite holiday? (I might already know this one but I can't remember at the moment.)
6. Would you be interested in a contest I ran where I wrote up a one-shot as a prize, winner's choosing?
7. What is your favorite animal?
8. What keeps you going when things get really hard?/How do you keep yourself motivated?
9. If you could go anywhere, any time in the world, where/when would you go and why?
10. Have you ever watched Disney's Gargoyle's?

I think that those are some good questions for now. You don't have to answer them all. I just wanted to give you some things to think about.

Best of luck tomorrow!:huggle:

1. Hehe, I haven't gotten to read it yet, but its on my to-do list!

2. All sorts of music *except screamo, explictive, rap and really slow songs like 'Purple Rain'* although over the years I've realized I stick to movie soundtracks and Disney Songs.

3. I'd love to go to Gaia (FFVII), but since I probably wouldn't get any butt-kicking skills or even meet any of the characters, I'd pass.

Most likely, I'd really like to visit the Underground from the movie Labyrinth. I love the scenery and I love the goblins, I find them cute in an odd way, not to mention the goblin king.

4. If I'm not a nurse then I'll go for an ultrasound tech. Can't seem to get away with babies. * I adore infants* Although I'd also love to be a writer, but I don't think I have the talent to be an exceptional writer.

5. Favorite holiday. I don't currently have a favorite. I used to love all holidays *especially thanksgiving*, because the entire family would come over *my dad is #2 in a family of 10 kids*, but things fell apart and I don't care for holidays. It just reminds me of old times and of the sibling I never got to bring home from the hospital.

6. I would SO be interested in that type of contest! I want to hear more details becaue I ADORE your writing!

7. The Manatee! I love Manatees! So sweet and gentle. It was the best part of Dallas Aquarium.* My parents took my brother and I on a trip to Dallas, Texas to celebrate our birthdays two years ago.*

8. Motivated. Hmm... I don't really know. My friends here on DA give me a lot of support, I need them a lot more than I let on. God, is also a factor but I haven't really kept in touch lately so I need to remedy that. Music. I just try to listen to inspiring songs.

And when things are at their worst or I've hit rock bottom I go and watch Labyrinth. For the first hour or so I'm even more depressed, but then I start listening to the soundtrack music "Chilli down" and then the world is brighter and its time to suck it up and move on.

9. I would so go back to Walt Disney World. I was at my most carefree time there and I felt as old as my six year old cousin. Hakuna Matata. In fact on the 28th of this April will mark exactly one year that I went on my trip! Although next time I go I want to go a bit earlier in the year because Florida was extremely hot.

10. Gargoyle's? I have never heard of it! The only gargoyles I've heard of are the ones from 'The Hunchback of Notre Dame' Disney version.

Thanks for answering all the questions! It's wonderful to learn so much about people.

As for Gargoyles, it's a wonderful show. One thousand years ago a group of gargoyles were turned to stone until their castle rose above the clouds. In modern times a billionaire buys the castle and moves it on top of his skyscraper. The spell is broken and the gargoyles awaken in modern day New York. It's a wonderful show. I heartily recommend it.

I bet you would love it. There is Puck, Oberon, Titania (yes, where I got inspiration for my characters), a whole other host of supernatural creatures and there are so many Shakespeare references that it makes me giddy. And, as an added bonus, the man who was Commander Riker from Star Trek: Next Generation is the voice actor for David Xanatos (the billionaire).

It's still one of my most favorite shows ever.:la:
