Microsoft Employees Disrupt Wii U Best Buy EventsRemember how Nintendo was showcasing some of their E3 games at participating Best Buy stores around the country? Well, apparently Microsoft employees have been hired to go to these events and preach about the Xbox One and make comments like "why would you buy a outdated Wii U when the Xbox One is right around the corner?"
However, the employees aren't getting what they hoped for. Most customers just start bashing the Xbox One in response. Seriously, Microsoft, the people attending these Best Buy Wii U events are people who are intimately familiar with the crap you pulled at E3. They ain't takin' your shit.
At first I thought this might just be a case of one really loyal Microsoft employee taking matters into his own hands (especially since the original source was /v/), but reports have come in from numerous Best Buy's around the country that indicate many Microsoft employees have ambushed the demo lines trying to persuade people to switch to the Xbox One.

Please Pants Responsibly (Paper Notebooks FTW)

There are two ways to write a novel. Plotting (you make an outline, a plan, a roadmap if you will, and then you sit down and write it) and pantsing (you write "by the seat of your pants, throwing caution to the wind). So when I get asked if I'm a plotter or a pantser, I'm all like er, uh, hold on, let me? Pantser? I think? But I kind of, um, do planny things?
And it gets kind of awkward because in these inarticulate moments I have managed to confuse everyone including myself. And probably spilled a drink.
In recent discussions, however, I've had a bit of a revelation, silly as it is. I've realized that I -- like many writers -- am a plotter/pantser hybrid. And perhaps what I'm doing is something we could call Pantsing Responsibly. And, maybe, just maybe, I could share some of my responsible pantsing tips with other writers. Starting with paper notebooks.

The Used Game ParadigmOver the course of this past generation I've been watching the video game market react to the way it's been forced to deal with increasing changes. I've come out against used game sales and even written a journal about boycotting GameStop because (like most people at the time) I believed they were the root cause of all the problems the video game industry has. But that's something I don't believe now as intently as i did then. From where I sit, piracy and used games sales are a problem, but not in the way game companies want us to believe that they are.
Used games are a good thing for consumers. We get to try games out, and if we don't like what we see or finish it early, we trade it in and try another title instead. It's a very good system for us since video game rentals are much harder to come by. Most video rental stores in America have gone extinct and outside specific Red Box Kiosks there aren't a lot of places for consumers to rent video games. The exception, of course, being thr

SPIKE updatesJust thought I'd share with you guys some updates on the progress of finishing my "SPIKE" novel.

Okay so a few days back I was really angry about something and began to play my music to either find a rhythm or cool myself off. So it got me thinking... What do you guys listen to when angry to either keep the pace or cool down? </b>

I don't remember all the songs I listened to but there's one song that just completely got me off the anger train. Its corny, its mushy, its very girly, its sweet, its absolutely do re mi, and its none other than ...the one named Sailor Moon!!!!

I know it the epitome of corniness, but I've always loved the anime, never read the manga, owned the scepter and locked when I was itty-bitty. I'm getting back into it lately and had been watching the season with Helios/Pegasus. It was Sailor Moon's own Rini that inspired Celia, along with some others, but Mini-moon has been my main inspiration lately. I absolutely adore Rini/Helios, so freaking sweet and adorable!!

And I love love love love love love love love love love love love love *get the idea?* love love love love love Helios' voice. Just melt at listening to it. I watched the entire Sailor Moon season with him in it in one night to just hear his voice! Gods, I love that voice.

So much so that I put their corny theme song on my phone and poof! All anger gone. Ahh, puppy love is so sweet.

I listen to things that let me get out the raw emotion for a bit. I can't think of anything right now but when I'm in the calming down phase of my anger after the raw emotion is spent, I like to listen to Gackt.

Vanilla, while a fun song to listen to, probably isn't what I would consider his best work. It's fun to listen to but not one I consider his best.

Gackt himself is a perfectionist. He has taught himself how to play several instruments and several languages simply because he does not like not knowing things. He pushes himself really hard to do things right. He then takes the money he earns and pushes it into charities in order to help out people who need it. I can tell you more in a note if you like, as well as some song recommendations for you to listen to. I don't want to take up a ton of space on your journal.

I used to love Sailor Moon when I was a kid. Only recently did I realise how cheesy + 90s it was when I decided to rewatch it xD gotta love those anime.
